“They've had enough” Album Review: Jetplane Landing - Once Like A Spark

From Time Out, by Chris Parkin on 1 October 2003

Much as the name suggests, Jetplane Landing are a somewhat loud proposition. Their chunky, dissonant riffs jerk with a tightly wound tension before exploding into furious crescendos. Clearly infuzed by hardcore luminaries Fugazi and Shudder To Think, this Anglo-Irish band demand change with songs entitled 'Do It...Now!' and 'I Opt Out'. Sharper and spikier than 2001's debut, 'Once Like A Spark' persistently hammers home its point. They've had enough.
