“Pop Wrapped Up In Punky Barbed Wire” Live Review: Fickle Public - T in The Park on 08/07/05

From Sunday Herald, by Claire Sneddon on 17 July 2005

Glasgow based Fickle Public step up to showcase their pending debut album Bucko, a highly charged slice of pop wraped up in punky barbed wire. Their bruising riffs refuse to be dragged down by the weight of their sound, at first sparky, if intense. As the set progresses, both band and audience become increasingly animated, and any notion of an artist/audience barrier - bar the unavoidable metal one running along the front of the stage - is battered down and the set evolves into a mutual rock out.
