“New music comp that mixes new bands and bigger ones hunting action”
From Big Cheese, by Jonathan Falcone on 20 March 2005
Jetplane Landing systematically put out lo-fi comp CDs to plug the music they feel deserves an audience. After 5 successful attempts now larger bands want in, upping the quality of the music, whilst also showing how well the smaller bands can meet the challenge. For Captains Of Industry darlings Team are in here, bringing their folk in a maelstrom with 'Last Offices', and Bristol's nerd rockers The Playwrights offer up their own superb punk-foolery in 'Bridge Burning Co-operative' - and they own the excellent Sink And Stove Records. So when acts like Starfighter bring rainbow bright power rock akin to QOTSA or the Foos, and Fuck-Off Machete display their sexy and sleazy fem-punk then you know the only way is up. Soon to be the 'Now' equivalent of the punk world.
