“Seriously hook-laden rock music” Album Review: Fighting With Wire - Man Vs Monster

From Norman Records, by Frizz on 18 June 2008

This band has a real pop sensibility - which I know a lot of serious 'musos' don't like. But it balances out their hard-rocking credentials. Frontman Cahir is the lead guitarist with DIY heroes Jetplane Landing (street cred ahoy) though Jetplane purists, who like their music underground and staying that way, are likely to hate this - it's TOO catchy. I loved this album from start to finish. Like a heavier Foo Fighters at times. Radio friendly, head bopping, sing a long, drum along, air guitar along - there's not a single song you'll skip. Brilliant. Like Fall Out Boy, you'll buy it for your kid brother and end up keeping it for yourself!
