“7/10 - Whatever style they take on, it?s assimilated with a breakneck intensity” Album Review: Jetplane Landing - Backlash Cop

From Teletext, by John Earls on 17 July 2007

Forever on tour, the Irish quartet have taken four years to make a third album, which namechecks everyone from Sam Cooke to Les Savy Fav in its titles.

Despite the range of influences, they work for maintaining a punk intensity throughout, Andrew Ferris’ insistent vocals bursting with urgency, resentful at being stuck in an indie ghetto.

Whatever style they take on, it’s assimilated with a breakneck intensity that’s basic yet effective.
