“A blistering romp of rock'n'roll carnage” Single Review: Fickle Public - Barfly Club on 24/01/06 - Just Like I Got Used To Saying Courteney Cox Arquette
From Metro Scotland, by Doug Johnstone on 24 January 2006
There's nothing like a catchy song title and Just Like I Got Used to Saying Courteney Cox Arquette is nothing like a catchy song title. Still, that doesn't seem to bother post-hardcore punksters Fickle Public - and nor should it, considering the song is a blistering romp of rock'n'roll carnage.
The track looks set to launch the Elgin/Glasgow four-piece (previously known as Purple Munkie) into the nation's consciousness. Perhaps 2006 will be the year when everything finally comes together for them - as well as these gigs (part of a Kerrang!-sponsored tour), their debut album, Bucko, is scheduled for release in mid-February.
