“Drive Like Jehu/At The Drive-In melodic turbo Grrrr-fest.” Single Review: Fickle Public - Just Like I Got Used To Saying Courteney Cox Arquette

From Norman Records, by Brian on 20 January 2006

Brian here following the bruising, desolate & beautiful swansong of the ginger god we all bow to, Clinton. How could I possibly follow such scathing & passionate ramblings?

The irony is he's missed out on reviewing this single by Fickle Public who veer from a heavier Built To Spill to a more Drive Like Jehu/At The Drive-In melodic turbo Grrrr-fest. The intuitive name is possibly the most appropriate band moniker around. If these guys were less excellent careering post hardcore & more a post Interpol limpozoid dribbling coma-fest then their name would have me urinating steadily in my keks with glee. 'Just Like I Got Used To Saying Courtney Cox Arquette' is the unusually ridiculous title. Cool.
