“Biffy wrestling with Weezer, whilst throwing Sonic Youth and Oceansize records at each other” Single Review: Fickle Public - Just Like I Got Used To Saying Courteney Cox Arquette

This may only be two and a half minutes long, but Scottish outfit Fickle Public have slammed enough prog/post/rock into this splintered epitome of emo, set to split timed beats and lumbering, fractured chords.

There’s a sunny smile to the quartets piano intersections and thunderous distorted guitar riffs. This amounts to a slower version of Biffy wrestling with Weezer, whilst throwing Sonic Youth and Oceansize records at each other. A mighty fine snippet of what sounds like a promising debut album.
