“A melody to die for KKKKK” Single Review: Jetplane Landing - Summer Ends

From Kerrang!, by Ashley Bird and Andrew W.K. on 1 February 2002

Two-parts English, one -part Irish trio unleash the most accessibly jaunty moment from their superb debut album 'Zero for Conduct'. 'Summer Ends' buzzes along to some racey guitar work and a melody to die for, and could be a hit, if it wasn't only available on vinyl.
Ashley Bird

"That one's very good. You remember it by the end for sure. Again they've opted for that lo-fi recording sound. I like the chords and the bizarre, unique vocal harmonies. Kudos to the guy for his impossibly long phrasing - I couldn't dream of singing like that without a breath. Five K's for this one."
