“Ten out of ten for effort” EP Review - Pleasurehead/What The Argument Has Changed

From Logo, by Alan Downes on 1 June 2002

Seafood and Jetplane Landing were one of the more exciting live pairings on the spring tour circuit, now showing off their indie cred by pairing up again for a good old-fashioned split single. Seafood’s contribution,Pleasurehead, is a by-the-numbers effort from current album ‘When Do We Start Fighting?’ but any disappointment is tempered by Jetplane Landing’s street punk vitriol, prompting the listener to step back from the speaker to avoid being hit by Andrew Ferris’ flying spittle. Zero For Conduct maybe, but ten out of ten for effort.
