Holy shit! The Young Playthings fastidiously refuse to let the Big Whoever upstairs cool things down in 2006. Having completed a series of live dates around the country (where it does, I assure you, get colder than it does down here) that took us north, south, east and west, we still found the time to complete our second single, ‘She’s A Rebel’.
 
If you’ve been following the news on this here site you’ll know we’ve upped the ante after ‘The Young Playthings Love U Like That’, and STA designer Helen Turner has created 6 different sleeves, each featuring an iconic female rebel from the annuls of history. And, even if we do say so ourselves, the quality of the music and recording matches the design – the final 3 songs sound sa-weet! It's out right now!
 
Not ones to rest on our laurels, we’ve already put plans in motion for the 3rd limited edition single, out sometime in April ’06. We’re recording straight to tape in Brighton with soundman extraordinaire Steve Ansell, of Projections and ex-Cat On Form. The tentative track listing is: (Yr So) Fit For Me, Cold Cold Heart and Life Is Great. 'Life is Great' will feature the collaborative talent of Rose from The Pipettes (pictured).
