Sunday This Ain't No Picnic Final Lineup Announced

Polysics are our headliners for the Sunday night of This Ain’t No Picnic 2008. They hail from Tokyo, Japan, and have released six full length albums of what they dub “technicolour pogo punk” (think: blasting guitars, high energy beats, computer noise, a love of Devo, etc etc..) in the last ten years, whilst taking their wild and critically acclaimed live show all over the world. As I’m sure you can appreciate, we’re really excited about seeing them play, especially if they do their cover of “My Sharona”. It has robot vocals, y’know.

Also playing on Sunday:

Alan MX (UK, Smalltown America >>> myspace)
Applicants (UK, Brainlove Records >>> myspace
Brontosaurus Chorus (UK, Popart Records >>> myspace)
Crimesss (UK >>> no myspace because they’re totally punk)
The Duloks (UK >>> myspace)
And So I Watch You From Afar (UK >>> myspace)
4 or 5 Magicians (UK, This Is Fake DIY Records >>> myspace)
Laura Wolf (UK >>> myspace)
Let Our Enemies Beware (UK, Smalltown America >>> myspace)
Popular Workshop (UK, This Is Fake DIY >>> myspace)
The Retro Spankees (UK >>> myspace
The Strange Death of Liberal England (UK, Fantastic Plastic >>> myspace)
Super Tennis (UK >>> myspace)
Tubelord (UK, Big Scary Monsters >>> myspace)
William (UK, Tough Love Records >>> myspace
The Young Playthings (UK, Smalltown America >>> myspace)

Unfortunately, Fighting With Wire have had to pull at the last minute - but you can see them play on Wednesday night (September 24th) at The Water Rats in Kings Cross.
