Alan MX - Mixed'icord!

We're very pleased to announce that Alan MX  has finished work on his forthcoming debut album, Warpsichord! The record was recently mixed over five frantic days at London's Southern Studios by one Mr Harvey Birrell, whose recent CV includes a certain album named Backlash Cop. Exciting, non?

While we've yet to set a release date for the album, we can reveal several more bits of information! Firstly, that artwork is being handled by Matthew Barnes, who some of you may know from the the beautiful tree-themed sleeve from Public Service Broadcast 9. Secondly, that the first single from the album will be  for the track 'The Captain America Video', which is going to feature some exclusive b-sides and will arrive shortly before it's parent album. A video is currently in production for the track as well! A rough mix of the track can currently be heard over at Alan's myspace page.

Alan's also started a brand new blog, to talk about some of the influences and the creative thoughts and processes that went into making the record, and where hopefully he'll chart where the next year or so takes him! Go have a read.
