Public Service Broadcasters - Our Biggest Ever Search
The eagle-eyed among you will have noticed that Daniel has recently completed work compiling the latest and
greatest installment of our compilation series. Public Service Broadcast #9 will be available in all good record shops from 2nd July 2007.
It features 22 bands, with some new faces and some old, and is limited to 500 CD copies. The sleeve features original artwork by Matthew Barnes, and as always all profits go into making PSB #10.
But here's the thing... PSB #10 will be the last ever in the series. With fond memories (and a few tears I'm sure) we will stop the project on the next release. We feel that we've done everything that we set out to do in the beginning and have proved that bands helping each other to get their music released can really work. To be honest, we're surprised that it's done so consistently well in our catalogue. Thank you for all the support you've given the titles over the past few years.
Why the newspiece then Ferris? Well, let's go out with a bang - if you're in a band; have heard a great track; discovered something on myspace - whatever, let us know about it. We want the final chapter to be as great as it can possibly be. There will be brand new submissions from the STA roster and exclusives from our favourite new artists across the globe - but the heart and soul of these records are the brand new demos that you send into us.
PSB has been the home to many musical luminairies over the last four years: The Go! Team, +/-, Distophia, Fickle Public, Oxford Collapse, Blood Red Shoes, Oppenheimer, We Versus The Shark, Frank Turner... to name a few. We want you to join that list. The submission deadline for PSB#10 is Friday 1st June 2007 - plenty of time to get those demos into us:
