We Versus The Shark - Podcasted, Tourin', Generally Sharkin' Around

A particular highlight of their set came in the form of their take on Radiohead's 'Idioteque'

Fresh from our recent UK release of 'Dirty Versions', details of We Versus The Shark's first trip to the UK have started to come through. The band will take to the road with Leeds bulldozer rockers Pulled Apart By Horses for a series of dates in March. The tour schedule currently looks as follows:
17 Mar 2009 London Madame JoJo’s (White Heat)
19 Mar 2009 Newcastle The End Bar
20 Mar 2009 Manchester The Black Lion
24 Mar 2009 Middlesbrough Dr. Brown’s
26 Mar 2009 Oxford The Cellar
29 Mar 2009 Brighton Engine Rooms
As you can see, there are still a whole bunch of dates still to be filled, so we recommend you keep an eye on the band's myspace for updates. STA had the privilege of catching the band live in New York last month, and let us assure you they slayed much face. A particular highlight of their set came in the form of their take on Radiohead's 'Idioteque', which came across as the song might had it been jammed out by the Smashing Pumpkins circa 1993. It was, as one might say, pretty sweet. Hey, look, you can download that right here!
While we've got you're clickin' on things, we recommend you check out the latest Podcast from our friends over at Big Scary Monsters, as it features We Versus The Shark! Also on the show: music from This Town Needs Guns, Look Mexico and Anathello , an interview with Maps and Atlases, and a lot more.
The Podcast is totally free, and you can download it directly here or get it through iTunes here.
Big Scary Monsters, incidentally, also recently issued 'Meat Balloon', Pulled Apart By Horses' debut single. Feel the love.
