Time Out Reviews 'Once Like A Spark'

"Their chunky, dissonant riffs jerk with a tightly wound tension before exploding into furious crescendos."

Much as the name suggests, Jetplane Landing are a somewhat loud proposition. Their chunky, dissonant riffs jerk with a tightly wound tension before exploding into furious crescendos. Clearly infuzed by hardcore luminaries Fugazi and Shudder To Think, this Anglo-Irish band demand change with songs entitled "Do It...Now!" and "I Opt Out". Sharper and spikier than 2001's debut, 'Once Like A Spark' persistently hammers home its point. They've had enough.
