Talons Vs ASIWYFA

"...Sounding like soundtrack to an unwritten Ang Lee or Darren Aronofsky epic..."

The first in a series of three imminent mini releases from Talons, the Hereford-based six-piece call on their buddies And So I Watch You From Afar to partner them on this splendid instrumental split 3". Opening proceedings in hugely ambitious style, Talons' track 'Bethlehem' is one of the most dramatic five minutes of music that you're likely to hear all year, sounding like soundtrack to an unwritten Ang Lee or Darren Aronofsky epic - with its two violins and mathy guitars swiftly building and regressing. While a lot less theatrical and more linear, ASIWYFA's 'D Is For Django The Bastard' isn't far behind in the quality stakes thanks to its crushing riffs and pounding drums, and shows why so many people have been getting excited about the Belfast outfit of late.

Talons have set the bar sky high with Talons vs ASIWYFA, if the remaining two releases can come anywhere close, then we're in for a real treat.
