Teletext Review 'Man Vs. Monster'

'Raucous and splenetic' - 7/10

Fronted by Jetplane Landing guitarist Cahir O'Doherty, the Derry trio's debut album follows supports to Future of the Left and Biffy Clyro.

One the surface, they could be another bandmessing about with the quiet bit / loud bit formula, but they excel due to a finesse in O'Doherty's vocals.

Whether raucous and splenetic or opting for a sinister, hushed approach, they maintian a steely-eyed approach, marred only by occasionally clunky lyrics.
