Classic Rock Magazine Review 'Man vs. Monster'

'Not bad, just tiresomely generic.' - 5/10

Irish new boys sing of beefs with their parents, possibly.

Fighting With Wire sound for all the earth like they've spawned out of the same US emo scene that bred the likes of Fall Out Boy and Finch, but in fact they're from Northern Ireland.  Tours with fellow brits Reuben and Biffy Clyro have put them directly into the line of vision of the people who may like their brand of angst-ridden alt rock, and with this, their debut album, they'll hope to cross the divide into the big league.

Whether that happens depends entirely on whether the kids are really ready for another band giving them more teenage pain-by-numbers.  Not bad, just tiresomely generic.
