[0] Introducing: Negative Pegasus
We are super-hyper-excited to announce brand new signings to the label Negative Pegasus. The group hail from Brighton [UK] and formed from a mutual love of the repetition rock of Oneida, the free-time whirl of Sightings and the joint-snapping mathematics of KILLL and Zu - Neg Peg’s repetitive rhythms are overlaid with ghostly vocals, primal, pounding drums and a thick, choking haze of reverberant effects.
"[Negative Pegasus] remind me of Wire, when they're at their most mental or Copenhagan newcomers Iceage... or maybe it's just psych trying to be pushed to the limit." NME
Debut album 'Looming' is scheduled for an Autumn release on STA, live dates and single release details coming soon on the site.

[1] Follow Up: Weather Underground #1
Well, it was a marathon but we did it! Our 24-hour live broadcast from the Smalltown America studios was a great success. Four songs recorded, mixed and mastered in a day.
Our Krypton Son and Sullivan & Gold delivered beautiful versions of their songs 'I'll Never Learn To Say Goodbye' and 'Jigsaws' respectively whilst Dollface and Figure Of 8 curated remixes of those same songs.

Tim Farrell and Kris Platt [More Than Conquerors] also produced some great artwork for the limited edition 7" vinyl which is now available for pre-order. Of course, if you just can't wait, you can get it right now through digital download.
[2] 'Plutonium' Vinyl Pre-Order
This month marks the release of the second single to be taken from Our Krypton Son's debut eponymous album, Plutonium is available on Smalltown America as a limited edition, coloured vinyl 7" and digital download. Both versions are backed with the previously unreleased 'Nowhere' and 'As I Fade Away'.
"An artist with a vision of creating more than just a formulaic pop song. A breathtaking nugget just waiting to be discovered." - [Charlotte Dryden - The Fly]
"With it's piano and vocal style calling to mind Suede's "By the Sea", with a vocal style that seems to sit somewhere in the murky water between E from Eels and Damon Albarn."
- [The Metaphorical Boat]

[4] Stripped Bare: More Than Conquerors
We are proud to bring you the first STA Stripped Bare session. You own the records, you know the songs, but like us you may be curious to hear the songs in their rawest form.
This month we have More Than Conquerors in session with 'Bear Knuckle Fight'. Usually this rambunctious song inspires mosh pits with its pounding drums, jagged guitars and fist in the air choruses. On this version, the band quells the noise in favour of intimate vocals and a more languid approach. Enjoy!
