To celebrate the release of 'Plutonium', the follow up to his adored debut 'Catalonian Love Song', Our Krypton Son unveiled the beautiful, translucent purple 7" vinyl in style with two sell out performances in his home town, last weekend.
A rammed Cool Discs record store played host to an intimate stripped back, solo performance from McConaghy with support coming from fellow band member Conor Mason. That evening Chris and his band took to the stage of local music sweatbox Sandino's giving the launch a proper party atmosphere.
Both events completely sold out of the physical copies of the 'Plutonium' single, but fear not, as there are some available on Independent Music.
Brighton psych rock renegades - Negative Pegasus have just been confirmed as main support on the UK leg of the MAN FOREVER tour in July. The solo project of Kid Millions, sticksman supremo from NYC, Man Forever is '...his vehicle for exploring the outer limits of drum performance, created to overwhelm..'
Negative Pegasus will join him on the following dates:
30th July | WHARF CHAMBERS, LEEDS
31st July | GREEN DOOR STORE, BRIGHTON

The band also played a show at The Great Escape festival in London this month, we asked Todd from the band how they got on: "Our GREAT ESCAPE show was pretty awesome. I thought we did pretty well UNTIL after we finished, this band THE BOTS went on. Their drummer is 16 years old with an afro large enough to choke a hippo, and we got pretty heavily schooled. Having your chops handed too you by somebody born after the release of “The Beautiful People” is a pretty good way to make you feel old, feeble, and not drunk enough. So then we fixed that!"

This month at STA HQ we will be embracing the summer sunshine by aurally indulging in the dreamy 2011 debut record 'Don't Be A Stranger' by our Icelandic darlings Feldberg.
This delectable album is the perfect accompaniment to the picnic in the park, the journey to the beach or in our case a day in the office. Full to the brim with beautifully crafted pop songs, this is our STA Soundtrack for the month of June. Enjoy!
