Kerrang! Review ASIWYFA's Debut Album

'It's rare for a body of work to be so dreamy and elegiac yet conversely monstrously heavy' - KKKK

While instrumental workds are, by and large, to be avoided for being wanky, indulgent tools of the devil, this debut mini-album from Belfast's ASIWYFA is really rather special.  Bold, cinematic and possessed of an assured nature that belies their youth the quartet weave rich, layered passages of intensely beautiful soundscapes into hulking great riff fests that souns like the end of the world.  he delicate mix if gentle introspection and thunderous brutality make for deliciously uneasy listening, and it's rare for a body of work to be so dreamy and elegiac yet conversely monstrously heavy.
