AU Magazine 'In the Studio' With ASIWYFA

"We couldn't be happier with the set of songs we've chosen to record for this. We're feeling pretty confident at this stage. We don't want to be jumping the gun, but we certainly feel it is our strongest collection to date" - Tony Wright

In The Studio With ASIWYFA.

Having softened us up with the brutal barrage of their live shows and devastating EP ('Tonight The City Burns') and mini-album ('This Is Our Machine And Nothing Can Stop It'), ASIWYFA are preparing to deliver the coup de grace with their much anticipated debut long player.  AU dropped by the studio to discover how it's all shaping up.

Rory: We want these sings to back up everything we've been trying to represent over the last few years, a summary of what we're about.  We've loads of ideas that we want to bring through here.  This is big for us, it's what we've been working towards this last while.

Tony: We had to get rid of the dead wood.  If just one of us wasn't feeling 100% about a song, then it was gone.

Rory: It feels a lot more intense.  Things from all over the world have influenced us; there are different percussive techniques, even some samba bits.  We feel like the songs are a lot more accomplished, we've become more methodical.

Tony: We couldn't be happier with the set of songs we've chosen to record for this.  We're feeling pretty confident at this stage.  We don't want to be jumping the gun, but we certainly feel it is our strongest collection to date.  It feels like a real piece, a real statement of where we are at this moment in time.
