GigApe.com Review Our Krypton Son's 'Plutonium'

"Our Krypton Son have created a masterpiece. His new single 'Plutonium' depicts a delicate, almost otherwordly song that echoes dreams of a longed-for love - "Now that I met you from your kiss, the world I know is nothing but a lie."

Northern-Irish artist Chris McConaghy (and his amigos), or better known as Our Krypton Son, has created a masterpiece. His new single 'Plutonium' depicts a delicate, almost otherwordly song that echoes dreams of a longed-for love - "Now that I met you from your kiss, the world I know is nothing but a lie."

The gentle piano advances the rush of emotion as we're carried off into the distant dream of laying in fields of green, being warmed by not only the streaming sun but the thought of that special someone.

Ah, what a romantic.

Though similar to his former 'Catalonian Love Song', this piece introduces a change in pace and undoubtedly leaves an impression, leaving the listener in a dream-like state as we steadily progress into the chorus. (Or is that just me?)

"An artist with a vision of creating more than just a formulaic pop song. A breathtaking nugget just waiting to be discovered" - [Charlotte Dryden - The Fly]

Two words. Damn right.

To anyone that hasn't heard of Our Krypton Son, give 'em a listen. You'd be surprised.
