 MTC UK Tour
We are pleased to announce that More Than Conquerors have been asked to support fellow Northern Irish band General Fiasco on their 5-date tour of the UK. For those of you who are unfamilar with General Fiasco, check out 'The Bottom' which we featured on 'Public Service Broadcast #10'. LaFaro At Eurosonic
For most bands, their frontman shattering his ankle would stop them in their tracks, but not LaFaro. Instead Jonny travelled by car for two days to reach the Dutch festival where an headline spot awaited them and judging from the reviews, Jonny's predicament only added to the performance. The festival also saw the first big test of nerve for new bassist Oisin O'Doherty who as you can see flourished in his new role.
This month sees LaFaro return to Europe for a 25-date headline tour that encompasses 9 countries.
 OKS Makes Radio Waves
January saw the release of 'Catalonian Love Song' fromSmalltown America's latest signing Our Krypton Son and it would appear that people just can't get enough of his genre-bending brand of songwriting. With BBC and RTÉ Networks whole-heartedly embracing Chris' sound. With amazing sessions like this, it's easy to see why. Check out the reviews Our Krypton Sonhas been getting on his blog.
 Fighting With Wire On Tour
Fighting With Wire back on the road! First up, they set out on a 10-date Irish tour supported by Freeze The Atlantic [Andy Gilmour of Hundred Reasons, and Jon Pearce and Guy Davis of Reuben]. They then embark on a tinitus-inducing run through Europe supporting alt-metal legends Helmet on a 28-date tour.
Cahir O'Doherty said; "We're really excited to get back on the road again, we've got a shitload of new material and are looking forward to people hearing it."
 Rósa At Eurovision
This month saw Rósa Birgitta Ísfeld, one half of Icelandic dream-pop duo Feldberg make it to semi-finals of Iceland's Eurovision 2012 with her track Stund Með Pér. Unfortuantely, it seems she didn't have enough dancers and pyro to meet the Eurovision pre-requisites...Give her a concillatory hug on the band's Facebook.
More Than Conquerors In The Studio With FWW's Cahir
This week the guys from More Than Conquers have been flat out in the Smalltown America studio recording tracks for their upcoming debut album with Fighting With Wire / Jetplane Landing / all round mentalist Cahir O'Doherty.
After a week of sleeping on floors, not washing, and literally having to BREAK IN to the studio... Frontman Kris Platt said; "Cahir might be a bastard, but no-one can get guitar tones like him; there's more than one reason why he's known as 'Dirt'..."
Anyone else think they look like The Wet Bandits in this photo?...
