STA is now Ten Years Old

Cut The Transmission...

Smalltown America were ruling the airwaves in Northern Ireland last night. Unfortunately, Brian forgot to pre-advertise the appearances - likely he'll be confined to the dungeon in STA towers with nothing but the mountainous Demo pile for company.

However, no need to panic, as you can still listen to the aural delights of Cahir from Fighting With Wire. Cahir was guest co-host on the rather wonderful Electric Mainline with Stephen McCauley on Radio Foyle. The guys had a discussion on all that was great and good in the Northern Irish music scene in 2008, played a few songs from the artists that mattered in 2008, and Cahir even gave an update on what 2009 holds for Fighting With Wire, including details on when to expect album #2 -  it can't come soon enough - we're running out of FWW song titles to use as mildly witty news piece titles and puns.

Also on the air last night was the Dungeon-bound Brian from STA HQ. Brian was part of a panel discussion on the acts most likely to break out from the Northern Irish scene in 2009. You can check it out by clicking here and selecting the "listen again" option for the Thursday 11th December show. The action begins at the 18 minute 20 second mark.
