Brum Notes Features Burning Alms

"Born into nightmares, a walking corpse of convenience, swirls of syntax collapse into the deep blue waters, the palm beach clean of this stucco scene."

Local experimental noise outfit Burning Alms have unveiled their new single "So Unreal", which is accompanied by ‘B-side’, "The Pastoral".

The second and third songs to be uploaded since the band’s beginnings, the title-track is taken from their forthcoming debut album, 'In Sequence'.

Born into nightmares, a walking corpse of convenience, swirls of syntax collapse into the deep blue waters, the palm beach clean of this stucco scene’ begins "So Unreal" before galloping into a powerful off-kilter crescendo. Inspired by American novelist Billy Burroughs, it finishes with a soundbite before blurring into the delicately calm, "The Pastoral".

Download the two tracks from Burning Alms on Bandcamp.

Burning Alms play The Bull’s Head in Moseley on February 26 and a Teenage Cancer Trust fundraiser at Muthers studio on April 5.
